WELSH LANGUAGE

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Continuous opportunities for children to express themselves through arts, crafts and music
We try to incorporate Maths into all our activities and come up with fun, yet simple, interactive games to encourage the children to count and recognise numbers.
We focus on one letter per fortnight and practice the sounds of letters using Jolly Phonics. We ask the children if they would like to practice tracing the letters and colour in activity sheets. We talk about what we can think of that begins with the letter and hunt for things around the room.
During our daily circle time we discuss what day of the week it is, how many children we have in the Bluebell Room today, what the weather is like and also plan what activities the children would like to do that day. It is a great time for the children to share their news and talk about significant events.
